Christa-Lee McWatters
VP of Vines & Vibes.
Vice President. Christa-Lee joined Gate 22 in 2024, and will now oversee day-to-day operations for both Adega on 45th and Gate 22. Christa-Lee, daughter of BC wine pioneer Harry McWatters, has deep ties to the BC wine industry and has held key roles in sales, marketing, and hospitality at several successful Okanagan wineries. She also served as Board Chair for Wine Growers British Columbia for multiple terms.
Karen Yeung
The Grape Whisperer.
AKA the Winemaker and Vineyard Manager. With more than 25 years in the industry, Karen is known for her award- winning wines and hands-on vineyard expertise, bringing invaluable knowledge and passion to Adega on 45th and Gate 22 wineries next chapters.
Karen Valckx
Head of Sips & Smiles.
Karyn has been with Adega on 45th winery for eight years as the Tasting Room Supervisor. She welcomes
visitors and offering warm, wine country hospitality. Visit her at Adega to learn more about the wines and her book club!
Korol Kuklo
Barrel Room Boss.
Assisting Karen day to day with all winery and vineyard needs for both Adega and Gate 22 Wineries. 25 + years of experience in the wine and spirit industry. Experience in all aspects of winery operations: production, sales, food & beverage, marketing, distribution, logistics and education.
