At Adega on 45th Estate Winery and Gate 22 Winery, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. From our vineyards to our cellars and through to the packaging of every bottle, we are committed to thoughtful practices that respect the land and reduce our environmental impact.

In the Vineyard

We farm our vineyards using sustainable practices that promote healthy soils, balanced vines, and long-term vineyard vitality. By carefully managing irrigation, minimizing inputs, and encouraging biodiversity, we work in harmony with nature to grow exceptional fruit while protecting the surrounding ecosystem.

In the Winery

Our winemaking approach is rooted in precision and respect for the fruit. We focus on small-lot production, careful resource management, and efficient cellar practices to reduce waste and energy use while crafting wines that authentically reflect each vintage and vineyard site.

Packaging with Purpose

We continue to seek packaging solutions that lessen our environmental footprint, including lightweight bottles, recyclable materials, and reduced packaging wherever possible. These choices help us minimize waste while maintaining the quality and presentation our customers expect.

Reusing materials is another important part of our sustainability efforts. We save and reuse wine boxes whenever possible rather than ordering additional packaging materials. Wine Club members who pick up their orders at the winery will also receive their wines in reusable bags, helping us further reduce single-use packaging.

Sustainability is an ongoing journey. We are continually evaluating new ways to improve our practices and make responsible decisions that support the health of our vineyards, our communities, and future generations.
